Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rudy Cupal (ranked 5814 p4p, 25507 weight class) and King Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King Jay is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rudy Cupal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Jay!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cupal as he jumps to the side.
As Jay backs away, Cupal returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Jay throws a right and a left that Cupal avoids nicely.
Cupal tried to counter with a leg kick but Jay avoided it.
Jay has his takedown stuffed
enabling Cupal to counter with a crisp jab.

and Cupal counters with a crisp right hand that drops Jay! Cupal lets Jay back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

It looks like King Jay has been cut.
Rudy Cupal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Jay.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cupal connects with a leg kick.
Jay dives in for a single leg takedown but Cupal sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A head kick by Jay misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Jay shoots in but no luck this time.
Jay looks winded!

Cupal lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jay's sensitive parts.
Rudy Cupal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Cupal fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Jay misses with a hook
and Cupal counters with a nice leg kick.
Cupal lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

A chopping leg kick lands by Cupal.
A slapping body kick lands there for Cupal.

Cupal swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jay.

Cupal sends Jay crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Cupal is motioning to the referee to let Jay up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Jay is rocked!
Jay drops his hands momentarily. Cupal doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Jay staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Jay doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
