Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Albert Coletti (ranked 4723 p4p, 4742 weight class) and Bang Mai Ni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bang Mai Ni!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mai Ni throws a solid leg kick but Coletti takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mai Ni.
Coletti closes the distance and clinches up with Mai Ni, looking for a takedown. Coletti pushes Mai Ni against the cage but Mai Ni circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mai Ni looks for the body kick but Coletti saw that one coming.
Coletti takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Coletti moves out of range of the body kick from Mai Ni.
Coletti seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Coletti lands a jab-cross combination.
Coletti jabs at Mai Ni's body.
Mai Ni wants to slow Coletti down by chopping away at his legs.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Coletti drops Mai Ni with a left and a right! Oh, Mai Ni is hurt - Coletti dives into side control looking to finish!

Coletti is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mai Ni is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Coletti thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Coletti is looking to take a break and control but Mai Ni is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mai Ni really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coletti. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Coletti is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mai Ni has escaped the position, nice work there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Coletti wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mai Ni keeps working.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Coletti is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mai Ni is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Coletti seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mai Ni does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coletti, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
