The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bomstaerk throws a big shot that misses.
Some wild striking there from Ryan.

Ryan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bomstaerk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ryan misses with a hook. Bomstaerk ducked under it nicely.
Bomstaerk changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Bomstaerk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ryan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bomstaerk looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Ryan has his foot on Bomstaerk's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bomstaerk works his way back into a safe position though.

Ryan's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Bomstaerk is holding on here and Ryan must be using up a lot of energy. Bomstaerk has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Ryan gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
