The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado moves into the clinch.
Machado breaks from the clinch.
Alexey Rykov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machado throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rykov's waist but Rykov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Machado off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Machado is defended easily by Rykov.
Rykov keeps the fight on the outside.
Rykov thuds a left hand into Machado's body.
Rykov drops Machado with a beautiful combination! Machado stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rykov is looking for the KO!
Machado is rocked!
It looks like Hernan Machado has been cut.
Machado looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Machado switches off momentarily and Rykov cracks him with a monster right hand! Machado topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Rykov dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Rykov!
