A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinicius looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Patrick is fending him off so far but Vinicius persists. Nope, Patrick circles away and we're back to standing.
Vinicius shoots in and drives through. Patrick sprawls well.
Vinicius shoots in but Patrick avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Patrick drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Patrick gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Patrick fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vinicius, pushing him back against the cage.

Patrick is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Vinicius in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Vinicius with a flurry of punches that miss.

Vinicius stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Patrick looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Vinicius!

Patrick blocks Vinicius's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vinicius is trying to get back to his feet but Patrick has full control of the position and if anything, Vinicius has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Vinicius rolls, trying to escape but Patrick keeps control of the position.
Patrick biding his time, looking for the opening.
Vinicius really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Patrick is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Vinicius is tapping out! This one is all over!
