PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between quick star (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Weezy Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter has chosen Fireman as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, quick star!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Weezy Carter!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Carter.
Carter tries a head kick but it misses.
star misses the shot to the body.
Carter throws a quick head kick that skims the top of star's head.

It looks like quick star has been cut.
Carter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

star closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
star trying to control from half guard but Carter is working away.
Carter missing with punches from the bottom.
Carter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Carter.
Carter thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Carter tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Carter has his foot on star's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. star works his way back into a safe position though.

Carter has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think star should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Carter has tightened it up now! star should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
