Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nate Ferguson (ranked 4980 p4p, 5725 weight class) and Isaiah Beasley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nate Ferguson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Isaiah Beasley!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beasley is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ferguson is aware though and is defending well.

Beasley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ferguson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ferguson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Beasley has his foot on Ferguson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ferguson works his way back into a safe position though.

It looks like Isaiah Beasley has been cut.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Beasley enables Ferguson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Beasley manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Beasley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferguson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ferguson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Beasley is looking for a sweep. Ferguson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ferguson seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Ferguson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Beasley connects with a single shot there.

Ferguson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Beasley can't keep his opponent in guard - Ferguson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ferguson is taking a breather. Beasley says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ferguson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Beasley has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Ferguson wants to stand but Beasley is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

We've been informed that Beasley has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Ferguson has control of Beasley's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Beasley regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ferguson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
