Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Kahn (ranked 18 p4p, 10 weight class) and Valentin Taneyev (ranked 5 p4p, 3 weight class). Kahn comes to the cage accompanied by كارتل مدان. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mohammed Kahn!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Valentin Taneyev!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Taneyev plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Mohammed Kahn has been cut.
Taneyev tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kahn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kahn connects with a crisp jab.
Kahn throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kahn misses with an uppercut. Taneyev saw that one coming.
Taneyev is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Kahn missing with a left hand there. Taneyev was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taneyev blocks a head kick by Kahn.
Kahn is looking to land body kicks.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Taneyev steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kahn.
Despite the aggression on Taneyev's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Taneyev has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Taneyev blocks a jab.
Taneyev lands a jab to Kahn's midsection.
Kahn throws a front kick aimed at Taneyev's knee but Taneyev avoids it well.
Taneyev tries a head kick but it misses.
Kahn appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Taneyev misses with an uppercut.
Kahn takes a kick to the side of the head.
Nice straight punches there by Taneyev. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Taneyev.
Taneyev takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kahn misses with a body kick.
Taneyev takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kahn digs a good body shot into Taneyev's ribs.
Taneyev looks winded!
Kahn cracks Taneyev with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Kahn has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Taneyev to stand back up!
Taneyev is rocked!
It looks like Valentin Taneyev has been cut.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Kahn engages and cracks Taneyev with a massive lead left hook - Taneyev tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Kahn is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mohammed Kahn!

After winning the bout, Mohammed Kahn thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
