Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Back Stabber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes wants to slow Stabber down by chopping away at his legs.
A lazy left from Stabber finds it's target.

Stabber rushes Barnes and presses him up against the cage.

Stabber escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Stabber seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Nice uppercut lands for Barnes. That snapped Stabber's head back.
Back Stabber is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

As Barnes looks to move away, Stabber throws a big counter combo but Barnes just gets out of the way.

Stabber has taken the fight to the clinch.
Barnes wants to take the fight to the mat but Stabber manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Stabber escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Stabber lands a jab to the nose.
Barnes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stabber.
Barnes connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Stabber momentarily.

Stabber loads up on a big right hand but Barnes slips the punch.

Stabber misses with a series of wild punches.
Barnes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stabber was well out of range. Poor timing from Barnes.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Barnes drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Stabber defends it well.

Stabber feints a jab promting Barnes to slip. Stabber then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Barnes slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Michael Barnes has been cut.

Stabber connects with a body shot that sends Barnes's belly button to the back.

Barnes takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Barnes shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stabber is trying to defend but Barnes finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Michael Barnes has got the better of the ground game so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barnes landing strikes from the mount and Stabber is in trouble!
Oh Stabber is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barnes throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Barnes working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Stabber turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Barnes off and cradles Stabber's limp body as Barnes celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Michael Barnes!
Our winner, Michael Barnes, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
