Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody Lake (ranked 4775 p4p, 4763 weight class) and Olivier Aphone (ranked 543 p4p, 512 weight class). Aphone has chosen Enjoy the silence as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cody Lake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Olivier Aphone!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ben Hemmingworth and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aphone punishes Lake's body with a nice straight punch.
Aphone works over Lake's head and body with a nice combination.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lake breaks from the clinch.
Lake fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aphone, pushing him back against the cage.
Aphone has Lake pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lake manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
The referee calls for Lake to work.
Lake prevents the takedown attempt.
Aphone tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lake's elbow.
Aphone is trying to drag Lake to the mat but Lake just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Cody Lake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Olivier Aphone.
Lake pushes Aphone back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Lake escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lake closes the distance and clinches.
Lake's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Aphone swings for the body but Lake moves out of range.
Lake fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aphone, pushing him back against the cage.

Aphone is trying to break free.
Lake leaning his opponent against the cage.
Aphone tries to work over Lake's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Lake stops a takedown attempt from Aphone.
A bit of stalling here from Lake.
Lake is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Aphone tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Lake prevents the takedown attempt.
Aphone goes for a takedown attempt but Lake pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lake moves into the clinch.
Aphone doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Lake holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Lake breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Aphone catches Lake with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Aphone changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Aphone on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
It looks like Olivier Aphone has been cut.
Aphone lands with a nice body punch.
Aphone throws a series of punches but Lake moves out of range.
Aphone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lake circles away quickly and effectively.
Aphone throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lake cracks a nice hook into Aphone's ribs.
Lake dodges the punch combination from Aphone.
Aphone looks winded!
Aphone misses with a wild combination.
A little feinted left hand from Lake on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Lake gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lake manages to break the clinch.
Aphone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lake counters with a straight that turns Aphone's legs to rubber! Lake pushes forward with more strikes and Aphone goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
