Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alan Spence (ranked 736 p4p, 937 weight class) and Jun Liu (ranked 101 p4p, 141 weight class). Spence 's entrance music is Were Coming. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Spence manages to avoid it.
It looked like Spence wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Spence avoids a punch combination nicely.

Liu thuds his right hand into Spence 's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Spence throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Liu throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Spence on the side of the head.

It looked like Spence was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Liu.

Spence with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Liu to score with a decent uppercut.
Liu has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Liu there as he acknowledges the shot.

Liu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Liu looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Spence buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Spence crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Liu - the referee stops the clock and Spence gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Liu. Spence manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Spence scores with a head kick. Liu tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

That has opened up Jun Liu's cut even more.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Alan Spence will probably get the nod.

Liu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Spence works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Spence connects with a nice cross there... Liu is looking wobbly and Spence recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Liu to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Spence jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
