Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gerwazy Babula (ranked 4916 p4p, 4850 weight class) and Chris Maurelli (ranked 565 p4p, 558 weight class). Babula comes to the cage accompanied by Hey Buddy. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Maurelli.
Babula lands a jab.
Maurelli takes a swing at Babula's ribcage but misses.
Babula needs to keep his hands up - Maurelli had a free shot at his head there.
Maurelli takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Babula fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maurelli manages to avoid it.
Maurelli has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Maurelli there as he acknowledges the shot.
Babula throws out a powerful jab.

and Maurelli counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maurelli misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Babula.
Babula throws a hook but Maurelli blocks it.
Nice shot lands for Babula.
Gerwazy Babula seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Babula cracks Maurelli with a right hand to the side of the head.
Maurelli is still on wobbly legs! Can Babula finish him?
Babula misses with a hook
and Maurelli counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Maurelli seems to have recovered his senses.
Maurelli walks straight into a right hand from Babula - that's dropped him! Babula jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Maurelli from any more punishment! Maurelli complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
