The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bankers has time to react.
Bankers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Carter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bankers somewhat.

Bankers gets tackled into the cage by Carter. Carter maintains the clinch.

We've been hearing reports that Bankers has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Carter tries to bum rush Bankers with a series of wild strikes but Bankers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bankers seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Carter shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Bankers is backing up but Carter catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Bankers covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Carter Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
