PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lacey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Clausey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lacey might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Motley Crue - Wild Side. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clausey takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lacey stuffs the takedown attempt from Clausey. Clausey gets slowly back to his feet.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lacey.
Clausey connects with a single shot there.
Lacey keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Lacey darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Lacey decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lacey is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Clausey is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Clausey pushes Lacey away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lacey gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Clausey is looking to improve his position but Lacey isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lacey has hold of Clausey's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Clausey manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lacey tries to pull guard but Clausey won't allow it.

Lacey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Clausey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Clausey manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lacey's best efforts.

Lacey misses with a jab, cross combination.
Clausey is breathing heavily.

Lacey instigates a clinch.
Lacey lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Clausey can't break the clinch.

Lacey has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Clausey regains guard immediately.
Lacey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Clausey is working an open guard so Lacey takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
