Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Rom (ranked 3845 p4p, 4772 weight class) and Ymir Tistransson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ymir Tistransson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rom misses with an attempted mid kick.
Tistransson feints the counter takedown.
Nice takedown defense from Rom. No joy for Tistransson on that attempt.
Tistransson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Rom.
Rom moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Tistransson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rom dives in for a single leg takedown but Tistransson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Tistransson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rom is defending well.

Rom's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Tistransson or perhaps it was just good defense by Rom, which made it look bad.
Jorge Rom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ymir Tistransson.
Rom tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tistransson defends well and Rom ends up having to push Tistransson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Rom jumps guard.
Rom is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tistransson wants to pass the guard but Rom is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tistransson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tistransson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tistransson wants to control from the top but Rom keeps moving.
Rom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tistransson on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Tistransson shoots in for a takedown but Rom shows good takedown defense.

Tistransson gets caught napping as Rom dives in and scores a takedown. Tistransson manages to retain guard.

Rom stands up from Tistransson's guard - Rom perhaps looking for a knockout.
Tistransson shoots in looking for a takedown but Rom manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tistransson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rom throws a quick counter head kick but Tistransson was just out of range.

and Rom counters with a head kick that drops Tistransson to the mat! Tistransson scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Tistransson is rocked!

Rom closes the distance looking for a takedown. Rom picks Tistransson up and slams him brutally to the floor. Tistransson is out! He's out cold! Wow, you don't see a finish like that every day!
