Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Don Beast (ranked 2503 p4p, 2812 weight class) and The Kid Laroi (ranked 285 p4p, 313 weight class). The Kid Laroi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Don Beast!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, The Kid Laroi!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laroi throws a body kick that misses.
Laroi just misses with a punch to the body.
Beast uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Laroi.
Laroi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Beast circles away quickly and effectively.
Laroi swings for the body but Beast moves out of range.
Beast moves into the clinch.
Beast manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Laroi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beast is looking for a triangle but Laroi pushes his legs off easily.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Laroi working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Laroi has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Beast to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Laroi is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Beast pulls down on the head and he's put Laroi to sleep! This one is all over!
