The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Licht swinging wildly here.
Licht looks for the body kick but Romanow saw that one coming.
Romanow throwing a counter right hand but Licht manages to avoid it.
Romanow throws the left hand but Licht avoids the punch easily.

Romanow fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Licht looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Romanow shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Licht wants to stand but Romanow is controlling the position.

We've been hearing that Romanow has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Romanow tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Romanow has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Licht is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Licht is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Romanow thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Romanow takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Licht throws a shot from downtown. Romanow moves away and avoids it.
Licht uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Romanow.

Licht lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Romanow circles away quickly and effectively.
Nord Licht is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Licht throws the kick towards the body but Romanow avoids it.
Licht tries to bum rush Romanow with a series of wild strikes but Romanow uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Licht has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Licht counters with a good, hard body kick but Romanow shrugs it off.

so Romanow counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Licht wants to stand up but Romanow is controlling him.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Licht manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Licht has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Romanow works Licht's body with a nice hook.
Romanow drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nord Licht seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Licht tries to land a front kick but Romanow steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

It's a brutal combination of punches from Licht! Romanow is backing up but he can't get away as Licht lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Romanow and ends the fight. Great knockout.
