Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and J F Houle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). D comes to the cage accompanied by Nine Inch Nails - The Great Destroyer. Houle comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Human(e) Meat (The Flensing of Sandor Katz) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big D!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houle closes this distance looking for a takedown but D circles away.
Houle looks to land a left hand but D moved out of range nicely.
D wants to clinch up but Houle keeps it at a distance.
D misses with a takedown
and Houle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Houle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Houle misses with a double jab.
Houle scores with a head kick.
Houle scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
D trying to control but Houle postures up.
D controlling the position well.
D is not content to let Houle control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
D looks like he's trying to stand up.
D wants to get back to full guard.
Houle keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
D missing with punches from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Houle lands a head kick. D smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Houle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and D counters with a nice double leg into side control. Houle won't be happy with that.
Houle is trying to control D's posture but D avoids it.
Houle wants to get back to his feet but D drags him back down.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
D lands a few punches from side control.
Houle tries to bench press D off him but D keeps the position.
Houle is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
D goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Houle has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for D but great work by Houle.
D tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Houle trying to control the position but D is working away.
Houle stands up and we're back to a striking position.
D is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
D moves in looking to clinch but Houle pushes him off.
D throws a combination that misses
and Houle counters with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
D walks forward, straight into a front kick from Houle.
D avoids the head kick by Houle.
Houle throws a push kick but D slaps the foot to one side.
J F Houle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Houle takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nice sprawl there from Houle as D shoots in.
Houle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Houle lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Houle misses with a head kick.
Houle thows a body kick. D tries to catch it but that hurt him.
D takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A jab from Houle finds it's way through D's defenses.
Houle scores with a head kick.
D chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Houle can pounce on him.
Houle throws a sloppy head kick and D moves out of range easily.
Houle swinging wilding here.
A head kick by Houle misses
and D counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Houle moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
D has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Houle to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! D is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Houle pulls down on the head and he's put D to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). J F Houle!
