Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sky Genie (ranked 23424 p4p, 23965 weight class) and Gajah Mada (ranked 656 p4p, 615 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mada's choice of entrance music: Fighter Mode. Gajah Mada struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.9lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Genie clinches up with Mada and pushes him back against the cage.
Mada lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Genie backwards.
Mada lands with a short punch from the clinch.

It looks like Sky Genie has been cut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Mada.
Genie swings wildly with an uppercut but Mada uses good head movement to avoid it.

Genie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mada changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Genie is working Mada over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mada working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Genie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Genie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Genie looks up at the clock and then as Mada takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Genie smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Mada takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Genie scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Mada to see if he's OK.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Genie winds up and cracks Mada with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Genie lands a nice short elbow.

Mada is pressing down on Genie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Genie distracts Mada with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Genie is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mada has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Genie is looking to defend but Mada has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Genie! Mada pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Genie taps out and this one is all over!
