And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jamins jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jamins looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Jackson walks into a stiff left hand from Jamins.
Jackson misses with a jab, cross combination.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jamins! But no joy.
Jamins throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range.
Jamins has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Jackson drives through and clinches with Jamins against the cage.

Jackson has hold of one of Jamins's legs. Jamins is fighting the takedown attempt but Jackson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jamins is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold.

Jackson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jackson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jamins's guard.

Jackson is trying to trip Jamins. He has hold of a leg but Jamins is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jackson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jamins down.

Jackson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jamins uses from the top position.

Jackson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Jamins defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Even with his hooks in, Jackson manages to miss with strikes from the back.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Jackson is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Jackson.
