Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zied Hakimi!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hakimi swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Matariki checks a leg kick.
Matariki swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
We've been informed that Hakimi has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Hakimi looks to land a left hand but Matariki moved out of range nicely.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hakimi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Matariki drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Hakimi right on the button. Hakimi goes down! Matariki follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Matariki gets the win via TKO!
