Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vinicius Tonioli (ranked 3017 p4p, 2598 weight class) and Hemmo Partanen (ranked 388 p4p, 343 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Partanen blocks a jab.
Partanen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Tonioli counters by clinching up.

Tonioli tries to throw a body punch but Partanen avoids it by throwing Tonioli back against the cage.
Tonioli lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Partanen backwards.
Tonioli will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Partanen up against the cage.

Partanen manages to break the clinch.
Partanen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Partanen cracks Tonioli with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Tonioli tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Partanen pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Tonioli is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
