PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bora Khan (ranked 928 p4p, 2975 weight class) and Olle Tandberg (ranked 138 p4p, 393 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Khan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Tim McGraw - Live Like You Were Dying. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tandberg throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Khan.
Tandberg misses the jab.
Tandberg darts in trying to clinch
and Khan counters with a two punch combo.
Tandberg rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Khan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Khan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Khan slips a jab and a cross from Tandberg.
Tandberg throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Khan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Bora Khan has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Khan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Tandberg thinking.
Khan has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Team Grunt in the buildup to the fight.

and Khan counters with a left to the body.

Khan cracks Tandberg with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Nice uppercut lands for Khan. That snapped Tandberg's head back.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Khan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tandberg on the side of the head.

Khan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tandberg manages to avoid it.

Khan is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Tandberg is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Khan with a body shot.

Khan throws the left hand but Tandberg avoids the punch easily.

Tandberg wants to clinch up but Khan keeps it at a distance.
Khan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tandberg doesn't seem bothered though.

Tandberg takes a shot to the head.
Tandberg is trying to force a seperation but Khan has the dominant position.
Tandberg can't break the clinch.
Khan is stalling here.

Khan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tandberg throws a right and a left that both miss.
Khan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Olle Tandberg has been cut.
Tandberg's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Khan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tandberg scrambles back to his feet.
Tandberg uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Khan.
Khan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Tandberg closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tandberg takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Khan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Khan pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tandberg back to the cage. Khan follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Tandberg is rocked!

Khan throws a big shot that misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bora Khan dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Khan throws an overhand right that drops Tandberg like a sack of potatoes! Khan dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

A relieved looking Bora Khan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
