Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Akamu Mamiya (ranked 4677 p4p, 25630 weight class) and Gustin Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Edwards 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Mamiya gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Edwards tries to pull guard but Mamiya holds him up against the cage and eventually Edwards drops back down to his feet.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Mamiya blocks an elbow strike from Edwards.
A short uppercut from Mamiya.
Mamiya lands a nice uppercut.
Edwards looking for a takedown.
Mamiya lands a body punch.
Edwards is trying to break the clinch but Mamiya is controlling him.

Edwards has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mamiya clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mamiya is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Mamiya trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Mamiya is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Edwards gets his way!

Edwards looks winded!

Mamiya moves into range and clinches up with Edwards.
Mamiya throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Mamiya manages to break the clinch.

Mamiya closes the distance and pushes Edwards back into the cage.
Mamiya lands a hook that snaps the head of Edwards backwards.
Still in the clinch, Mamiya scores with a nice short uppercut.

Edwards is rocked!
Mamiya lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Edwards to his knees! Mamiya keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
