Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Kamenev (ranked 1385 p4p, 1470 weight class) and Bruce Lee (ranked 178 p4p, 184 weight class). Bruce Lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Kamenev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bruce Lee!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lee throws an overhand right that lands on Kamenev's shoulder, as Kamenev tries to avoid the shot.
Lee throws a right hand that Kamenev ducks under and follows up with a left that Kamenev also avoids with ease.
A left and a right from Kamenev both land. Nice combination.
Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kamenev manages to avoid it.
Lee throws a hook to the side of Kamenev's head but Kamenev sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kamenev drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Lee bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lee misses with the combination.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kamenev.
Kamenev is staying tight to Lee's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Kamenev is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lee has escaped the position, nice work there.
Lee pushes Kamenev away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kamenev gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Lee is not content to let Kamenev control the position.

Kamenev is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lee is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kamenev tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kamenev has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kamenev controls the position.

Kamenev working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Kamenev tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kamenev has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lee wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee asks Kamenev politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kamenev prefers to stall for the moment though.
Lee is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kamenev is controlling him well.
Lee is being controlled here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lee sneaks out the side door and pushes Kamenev away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Lee throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kamenev.
Bruce Lee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kamenev connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lee dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kamenev lands a jab to the nose.
Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kamenev was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee.
Lee has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Kamenev moves out of range easily.
Lee takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lee tries to clinch there but Kamenev circles away.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bruce Lee will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Kamenev scores with a nice head shot.
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
Kamenev half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Lee has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kamenev lands a right hand.

Lee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kamenev lands with an overhand left.
Kamenev scores with a punch to the head.
Kamenev looks to land a left hand but Lee moved out of range nicely.
Kamenev moves out of range as Lee strikes.
Lee is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kamenev tries to counter with a takedown but Lee is quick to defend against it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kamenev throws a combination that misses
and Lee counters with a nice uppercut.
Kamenev scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lee doesn't seem bothered though.
Lee tries to clinch but Kamenev moves out of range.

Lee throws a looping overhand right but Kamenev ducks down to avoid it.

Lee takes a swing at Kamenev's ribcage but misses.

Kamenev closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lee is trying to stand up here but Kamenev is controlling him well.
Kamenev is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kamenev wants to control but instead Lee manages to regain half guard.

Kamenev seems to be looking for submissions.
Kamenev trying to control the action but Lee is working from the bottom.

Kamenev is really struggling to control Lee but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Kamenev prevents Lee from standing back up.
Kamenev wants to pass the guard but Lee is defending well.
Lee is looking to escape.
Kamenev tries to pass the half guard into mount. Lee knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Ivan Kamenev overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kamenev is keen to just control but Lee is a slippery customer.

Kamenev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lee is just riding it out for now. Kamenev eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bruce Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kamenev shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lee is trying to defend but Kamenev finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Lee scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Kamenev manages to mount him!

Kamenev has control of Lee's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lee regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kamenev is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Lee is in real trouble.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kamenev looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Kamenev tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lee's elbow.
Lee is trying to push Kamenev away but Kamenev has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kamenev swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kamenev tries to throw a body punch but Lee avoids it by throwing Kamenev back against the cage.
Lee blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Kamenev is trying to pull guard but Lee has him pressed against the cage.

Lee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kamenev takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kamenev is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Lee bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Kamenev is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lee.

Kamenev has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lee finds it's way round the side to connect with Kamenev's head.

and Kamenev counters with a single leg into guard. Lee didn't expect that.

Ivan Kamenev showed his dominance in that final round.
