Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy Conforto!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Conforto lands.

It looks like Jake Robertson has been cut.
Robertson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Robertson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Conforto did well to prevent Robertson getting side control.

Robertson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Conforto has managed to free his arm - good work.
Conforto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Robertson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Conforto felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Robertson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Robertson won't let Conforto get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Conforto is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Conforto misses with a punch on the inside.

Robertson goes for a takedown attempt but Conforto pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Robertson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Conforto has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Conforto there as he acknowledges the shot.

Robertson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Conforto as he avoids it easily.

Robertson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Conforto throws out the jab.

Robertson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Conforto defends well and Robertson ends up having to push Conforto into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Conforto throws an elbow but it misses.

Conforto throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Robertsons head.

Conforto manages to break the clinch.
Conforto works the jab nicely.
Some wild striking there from Robertson.
Conforto swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Conforto keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Robertson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Robertson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Conforto.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Robertson.
Conforto swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Robertson.
Robertson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Conforto can do to turn this around?

Conforto jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Robertson misses with a body shot
enabling Conforto to counter with a crisp jab.
Robertson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Conforto counters with a big right hand! Oh Robertson is in trouble here! Conforto follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
