Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patty Bling (ranked 3503 p4p, 6480 weight class) and Mason Island (ranked 443 p4p, 627 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Island closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bling to the mat! Bling manages to get full guard.
Bling pulls Island in close to prevent any damage.

Island drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Island jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bling has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Island looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bling wants to sweep here but Island controlling him for the moment.

Island creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bling sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Bling is trying to control Island's posture but Island avoids it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

I really don't envy Bling right now.

Mason Island dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Island shoots in and drives through. Bling sprawls well.
A head kick by Island misses
and Bling counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bling lands with a straight right. Island didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Mason Island has been cut.
Island shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bling pinned against the cage. Bling gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Island shoots for a takedown but Bling saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Patty Bling has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mason Island.
Island walks into a jab.
Bling throws an uppercut from hell that sends Island clean off his feet! He's out cold! Bling stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
