The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter throws a right and a left that Bakarow avoids nicely.
Carter lands with a nice combination. Bakarow backs away looking to recover.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Carter checks a leg kick.
Bakarow definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Carter looking to land some kicks to the body here.
It looked like Bakarow was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Carter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nice uppercut there from Carter.

Bakarow closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bakarow stands up.
Bakarow is looking to clinch.
Carter lands a two punch combo.
Bakarow avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bakarow tries to counter by clinching up but Carter breaks away and moves out of range.
Bakarow looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bakarow shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Carter defends it nicely.

Carter is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Bakarow presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Bakarow is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Carter is keeping busy.
Bakarow misses with a punch to the body.
Bakarow tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergey Bakarow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carter tries to circle away but Bakarow has him pinned against the cage.
Bakarow keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Carter's efforts to push away.
Bakarow is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Carter is defending well for now.

Bakarow is looking to control Carter's arms but Carter gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bakarow has his back to the cage.
Carter is trying to break the clinch but Bakarow is controlling him.

Bakarow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A left and a right from Carter both land. Nice combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bakarow drives through with a takedown into guard.

Carter is in a horrible position here. Bakarow smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Bakarow lands a big shot to the head and Carter winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
