The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mongrel stuffs the takedown attempt from Gunnarsson. Gunnarsson gets slowly back to his feet.
Mongrel doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Mongrel throws a right and a left that Gunnarsson avoids nicely.
Gunnarsson looks to land a left hand but Mongrel moved out of range nicely.
Mongrel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gunnarsson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A thudding body kick lands there by Mongrel!
Mongrel lands a head kick. Gunnarsson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Gunnarsson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gunnarsson wants to clinch up but Mongrel keeps it at a distance.
Mongrel cracks Gunnarsson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Mongrel moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

and Mongrel counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Mongrel tries a head kick but it misses.

Sloppy strikes from Gunnarsson. Those never looked like landing.
Gunnarsson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mongrel is able to avoid easily.
Gunnarsson misses with a low kick as Mongrel jumps back.
A telegraphed right hand from Mongrel misses the target.
Gunnarsson lands a right hook to the body.
Mongrel throws a series of punches but Gunnarsson avoids them all with ease.

Gunnarsson moves into the clinch successfully.
Gunnarsson lands a hook that snaps the head of Mongrel backwards.

Mongrel can't find room to land a body shot as Gunnarsson controls the action.

Mongrel pushes Gunnarsson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Mongrel lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Mongrel breaks the clinch.
Mongrel lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Gunnarsson misses with a few strikes there.
Gunnarsson finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Mongrel's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Gunnarsson falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
