Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Brook (ranked 2011 p4p, 2582 weight class) and Dalton Swas (ranked 277 p4p, 342 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Danny Brook!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dalton Swas!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brook drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Swas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Swas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brook. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brook goes for an armbar but Swas turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Swas.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Swas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Swas shoots in looking for a takedown but Brook manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Swas's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brook connects with a nice short shot to Swas's temple.
Brook uses his free foot to push down on Swas's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Swas.

Brook moves into range and clinches up with Swas.
Swas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brook walks away with a smile on his face. Swas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Brook connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Swas misses with a takedown attempt - Brook sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Brook. Swas does a little dance to reset his feet.

Brook closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Swas to the mat! Swas manages to get full guard.

Brook drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brook jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brook got a little sloppy there for a moment and Swas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brook has managed to get both his arms back between Swas's legs - danger averted.

A big strike lands for Brook! That's really hurt Swas and he's turned his back - Brook keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Brook jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
