Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Beverley (ranked 4631 p4p, 4429 weight class) and Grayson Allen (ranked 506 p4p, 522 weight class). Grayson Allen is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Allen tries to clinch but Beverley moves out of range.
Beverley is looking to clinch.
Beverley scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Beverley shoots in for a takedown but Allen shows good takedown defense.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Allen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Allen fails with the takedown.

Beverley throws a big counter combination but Allen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Allen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Beverley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Allen somewhat.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Beverley scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Beverley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Beverley is looking to clinch but Allen is avoiding it.

and Beverley counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Allen walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beverley gets tackled into the cage by Allen. Allen maintains the clinch.

Beverley lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Allen backs up against the cage.
Allen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Beverley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Beverley fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Allen.
Allen tries to clinch up but Beverley circles away and keeps his distance.
A counter left hand to the body from Beverley misses its target.
Beverley throws a combination. Allen tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Beverley is staying active underneath Allen, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Allen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beverley is just riding it out for now. Allen eventually gives up the hold.

Beverley shoots in looking for a takedown. Allen tries to sprawl out of it but Beverley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Allen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Allen distracts Beverley with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Beverley wants to sweep but no luck.
Beverley has momentary wrist control but Allen slips an elbow through the middle.
Beverley has control of Allen's left arm, preventing Allen from doing any damage.
Allen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Allen wants to get up but he can't break Beverley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Patrick Beverley.
I think Beverley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
