Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Albano Lucas (ranked 1950 p4p, 2397 weight class) and Joey Chandler (ranked 236 p4p, 287 weight class). The key to victory for Albano Lucas has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lucas takes a swing at Chandler's ribcage but misses.
Chandler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lucas manages to avoid it.

It looks like Joey Chandler has been cut.
Chandler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lucas.
Chandler throws out a counter right but Lucas avoids it with no problem.
Lucas throws a hook to the side of Chandler's head but Chandler sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Chandler fails with a takedown attempt.
Chandler dives in for a single leg takedown but Lucas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Albano Lucas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Chandler.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Let's hope that Chandler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Lucas swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

That was a close round but I would say that Albano Lucas will probably get the nod.

Lucas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chandler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lucas throws a lazy right hand but Chandler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Chandler unleashes a big counter combination but Lucas bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Lucas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chandler takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Chandler lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Chandler moves into range and clinches up with Lucas.
Lucas blocks a body shot from Chandler.
Chandler lands a body punch in the clinch.
Lucas gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chandler.

Lucas tries to circle away but Chandler has him pinned against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Chandler creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Chandler is trying to drag Lucas to the mat but Lucas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
