Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 5997 p4p, 4820 weight class) and Niamajla Gnilrets (ranked 265 p4p, 231 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Niamajla Gnilrets!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Gnilrets looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Hunt has his foot on Gnilrets's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gnilrets works his way back into a safe position though.

Gnilrets gets to his feet - Hunt follows without any prompting.
Gnilrets swats away the attempt to clinch by Hunt.

Gnilrets bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hunt tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Gnilrets easily slips into full mount!
Gnilrets throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Hunt reaches up to try and control the position but Gnilrets seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Hunt rolls and tries to escape and now Gnilrets has his back!

Gnilrets is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Gnilrets doesn't have the hooks in and Hunt manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hunt prevents Gnilrets from getting back to his feet.
Gnilrets trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Gnilrets is trying to control the position but Hunt postures up.
Hunt wants to control from the top but Gnilrets keeps moving.
Gnilrets is controlling Hunt's posture.
Hunt tries to stand but Gnilrets is controlling from the bottom.
Hunt definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Hunt wants to pass the guard but Gnilrets is keeping the position.
Gnilrets throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Hunt is fighting to break Gnilrets's control of his arms but Gnilrets is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Gnilrets wants to sweep here but Hunt controlling him for the moment.
Gnilrets is trying to keep Hunt in close.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Gnilrets dives in and scores a takedown into Hunt's guard.

Hunt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Gnilrets is trying to get back to full guard.
Gnilrets is trying to stand.

Gnilrets is defending against the submission attempts here by Hunt.

Hunt maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Gnilrets could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Hunt has cracked it and Gnilrets is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Hunt!
