Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chunk Liddell (ranked 5148 p4p, 4948 weight class) and Dwayne Mill (ranked 571 p4p, 559 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chunk Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dwayne Mill!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mill gets caught napping as Liddell dives in and scores a takedown. Mill manages to retain guard.
Mill is trying to control the position but Liddell postures up.
Mill wants to sweep here but Liddell controlling him for the moment.
Mill can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Liddell controls the pace.
Our spies down at at Catch Wrestling L.A. inform us that Mill has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Liddell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Liddell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mill is keeping the position for now.
Liddell seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Liddell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mill works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Liddell works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Liddell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mill manages to get to full guard.

Liddell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Liddell cracks Mill with a solid left hand.

Mill is looking for a triangle but Liddell pushes his legs off easily.
Mill throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mill holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Liddell not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Liddell postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Liddell controls from within his opponent's guard.
Mill controls Liddell momentarily but Liddell frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mill looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Liddell.
Nice takedown defense from Liddell. No joy for Mill on that attempt.

Liddell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Check out the look on Liddell's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Liddell thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Liddell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mill keeps working.

Mill is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Chunk Liddell dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Liddell jabs Mill to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Liddell stuffs the takedown attempt from Mill. Mill gets slowly back to his feet.
A nice leg kick lands there from Liddell.
Mill blocks a head kick by Liddell.
Liddell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Mill shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Liddell sprawls well. Liddell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mill gets slowly back to his feet.

Liddell drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Liddell postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Liddell is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mill is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Liddell is controlling him.
Mill tries to strike from the bottom.
Mill not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mill keeping full guard, as Liddell tries to pass.
Liddell engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Liddell is pushing down on Mill's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mill is fighting to maintain full guard but Liddell has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Liddell trying to mount his opponent but Mill defends it.
Liddell is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mill!
Mill tries to hold on but Liddell postures up.
Liddell lands a couple of good shots and Mill has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Liddell is hanging on to Mill's back as he tries to escape.

Liddell is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Mill has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Liddell has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Mill taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Liddell doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chunk Liddell!
A relieved looking Chunk Liddell thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
In defeat, Dwayne Mill stepped up to the mic, saying 'Losing is part of learning, this is just a set back and I will return next time fully prepared and ready.'.
