The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Friendly with that takedown attempt.
Friendly takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Friend Friendly has been cut.
Friendly misses with a few strikes there.
Bennett lands a glancing blow to the side of Friendly's head.
Bennett lands with a cross.
Friendly dodges the punch combination from Bennett.
Nice sprawl there from Bennett as Friendly shoots in.

Friendly moves into range and clinches up with Bennett.

Friendly pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Oooh a lovely combination from Bennett sends Friendly down but not out. Bennett dives into side control looking to finish.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Friendly is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bennett is controlling him well.
Bennett tries to advance to mount but Friendly denies him.

Friendly sneaks out the side door and pushes Bennett away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Bennett pounces like a tiger and cracks Friendly with a vicious hook! Friendly is down but not out! Bennett follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Grant Bennett!
Friend Friendly spoke after the fight, saying 'I give up'.
