The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duarte gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Santos to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Santos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Duarte is keeping the position for now.
Santos is still trying to improve position.

Santos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice combination there by Duarte.
It looks like Aldemir Santos has been cut.
Santos drives through with a takedown into Duarte's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Santos slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Duarte gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Duarte is trying to escape the mount but Santos keeps good control and instead manages to take Duarte's back.
Santos has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Duarte is defending well but eventually Santos manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Duarte has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
