The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang looks to score with a jab to the body but Poe Jr is just out of range.

Poe Jr drives through and clinches with Kang against the ropes.
Kang is trying to break free.

Kang has had enough of the clinch but Poe Jr keeps him there for the moment.

Poe Jr throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Poe Jr throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kang blocks it with crossed arms.

Kang escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Denis Kang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poe Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Poe Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kang stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Kang misses with a straight right.
Poe Jr throws a sloppy head kick and Kang moves out of range easily.

Poe Jr uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kang.
Poe Jr slips a straight right by Kang.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kang darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Poe Jr moves in looking to clinch but Kang pushes him off.
Poe Jr lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Poe Jr uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kang.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A punch lands to the side of Poe Jr 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Kang lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Poe Jr falls backwards - clearly groggy! Kang dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
