The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tillet gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Tillet looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Leonov throws a body punch but Tillet moves out of range.
Tillet takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Leonov throws a head kick but Tillet moves out of range.
Both fighters circling a little - Leonov finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Tillet tries for a takedown but Leonov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tillet drops his hands momentarily and Leonov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Leonov takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Leonov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tillet.
Leonov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tillet throws out the jab.
Tillet tries to score a power double leg takedown but Leonov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tillet somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Maurice Tillet. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Leonov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tillet moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Tillet walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Leonov is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Tillet had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Tillet shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Leonov but Leonov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Leonov throws out a counter right but Tillet avoids it with no problem.
Leonov lands with a nice combination. Tillet backs away looking to recover.
Tillet throws a jab when Leonov was well out of range.

and Tillet takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Nice straight punches there by Leonov. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Leonov.
Oh Tillet is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Leonov works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Tillet on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Leonov steps in with a hook that catches Tillet right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Leonov follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Tillet looks absolutely devastated.
