Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Larry Lungfish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bernard Geoffrion !
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lungfish uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Geoffrion .
Lungfish cracks Geoffrion with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lungfish fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lungfish. Geoffrion does a little dance to reset his feet.
And Geoffrion tries to counter it with a takedown but Lungfish pushes his down on his head and steps out.

and Geoffrion counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Geoffrion lands a nice short elbow.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Geoffrion connects with a nice short shot to Lungfish's temple.
Geoffrion stops Lungfish from getting back to his feet.
Lungfish is staying active underneath Geoffrion , who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Geoffrion is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Geoffrion lands a nice short elbow.
Lungfish knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Geoffrion on the ground.

Geoffrion working over Lungfish with some ground and pound. Lungfish looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Geoffrion slips a nice elbow through Lungfish's hands, connecting with Lungfish's forehead.
Geoffrion has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Geoffrion working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Lungfish is defending against the submission attempts here by Geoffrion .

Geoffrion seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Lungfish is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
