Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brett Stone (ranked 1583 p4p, 1995 weight class) and Karsten Koererlaerer (ranked 171 p4p, 205 weight class). Karsten Koererlaerer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brett Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Karsten Koererlaerer!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone fails with an attempt to clinch.
Koererlaerer looks for a takedown but Stone sprawls well.

Stone moves into the clinch.

Stone has Koererlaerer pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Stone pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Koererlaerer tumbling to the mat - Stone dives into Koererlaerer's guard.
Koererlaerer managing to control the position.
Koererlaerer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stone is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone tries to free his leg and advance position but Koererlaerer is retaining full guard.
Koererlaerer wants to sweep here but Stone controlling him for the moment.

Koererlaerer is controlling Stone's posture.
Stone cracks Koererlaerer with a solid left hand.
Stone is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Sprawl & Brawl that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Stone postures up in Koererlaerer's guard and throws a big left but Koererlaerer blocks it.
Stone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Koererlaerer wants to get back to his feet but Stone is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Koererlaerer is looking to sweep but instead, Stone has passed into half guard.

Stone is taking a breather. Koererlaerer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Stone wants to take a breather but Koererlaerer is having none of it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Stone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Koererlaerer with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Koererlaerer is trying to control but Stone passes into side control!
Koererlaerer is pushing Stone's head away, looking to escape. Stone manages to hold on to the position though.
Koererlaerer has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Stone looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Koererlaerer is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Stone has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Koererlaerer is looking to reverse the position.
Koererlaerer sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Stone lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koererlaerer is looking for a sweep. Stone is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Koererlaerer on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Koererlaerer wants to get back to full guard.
Koererlaerer trying to control from the bottom.
Stone drops an elbow to the side of Koererlaerer's head.

Stone is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Stone throwing shots but Koererlaerer is blocking nicely.
Stone is thwarting Koererlaerer's attempts to control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Karsten Koererlaerer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Stone counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Koererlaerer looks to land a right hand but Stone moved out of range.

Stone pushes Koererlaerer off and gets back to his feet.
Koererlaerer takes a swing at Stone's ribcage but misses.
Stone looks to score with a jab to the body but Koererlaerer is just out of range.
No joy there for Koererlaerer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Koererlaerer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stone uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Stone closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Koererlaerer to the mat! Koererlaerer manages to get full guard.

Koererlaerer kicks Stone off and gets to his feet.

Stone blocks a head kick by Koererlaerer.
Stone takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Stone rushes Koererlaerer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Stone is pressed up against the cage. Koererlaerer has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stone down to the mat. Stone avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Brett Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karsten Koererlaerer.

Stone drives through and clinches with Koererlaerer against the cage.
Koererlaerer tries for a takedown. No joy.

Koererlaerer takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Stone's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
