Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boonda Fritz (ranked 4651 p4p, 24388 weight class) and Ray Lawris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray Lawris is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boonda Fritz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Ray Lawris!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Lawris. Those never looked like landing.
Fritz shoots in and drives through. Lawris sprawls well.

Lawris lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fritz circles away quickly and effectively.

Lawris changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fritz tries to avoid it but Lawris manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fritz to the ground. Fritz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A head kick from Fritz lands but Lawris takes it in his stride.

Fritz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fritz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lawris manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fritz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lawris was well out of range. Poor timing from Fritz.

Lawris will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fritz went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Lawris shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Fritz eats them both and turns towards Lawris to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
No joy there for Lawris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fritz drives through with a takedown into Lawris's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Lawris has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Fritz off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
