Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Claudio Benedetti (ranked 4030 p4p, 4898 weight class) and Theodore Epicity (ranked 477 p4p, 554 weight class). Benedetti comes to the ring accompanied by Atrevete te. Epicity has chosen Tempest by Deftones as his entrance music. Theodore Epicity has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Theodore Epicity!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Epicity misses with a low kick.
Benedetti misses with a hook
and Benedetti takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Benedetti looks to land a right hand but Epicity moved out of range.
Benedetti lands with a right hand.
Epicity has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Benedetti misses with a right hand
and Epicity makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Epicity feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Benedettis jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Benedetti tries to bum rush Epicity with a series of wild strikes but Epicity uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Benedetti steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Epicity. That one must have hurt.
Benedetti swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Benedetti takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Epicity takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Benedetti is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Benedetti is breathing heavily.
Epicity throws a low kick but Benedetti avoids it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Epicity. That's going to slow Benedetti down.
Benedetti moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Benedetti throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Epicity sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Epicity throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Epicity takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Benedetti cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Benedetti fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Benedetti looks to land a left hand but Epicity moved out of range nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Epicity connects with an inside leg kick.
Benedetti moves out of range of the body kick.
Benedetti thows a left - swing and a miss!
Epicity lands a nice leg kick that just misses Benedetti's sensitive parts.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Theodore Epicity dominated that round.

Epicity throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Epicity has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Epicity there as he acknowledges the shot.
Benedetti throws an off balance right hand
and Epicity counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Benedetti thinking.

Epicity misses with a low kick.
Epicity throws a head kick but Benedetti moves out of range.
Theodore Epicity seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Benedetti's corner calls for a 1-2. Benedetti obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Benedetti finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Epicity throws an ugly left hook that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Epicity ducks into a a hook from Benedetti and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

It looks like Theodore Epicity has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Benedetti counters with a big left hand that crumples Epicity! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
