Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steven Shewmaker (ranked 1715 p4p, 1940 weight class) and Marlon Gazersky (ranked 250 p4p, 270 weight class). Gazersky has chosen Clutch - Electric Worry as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Steve Erwin and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gazersky on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Steven Shewmaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shewmaker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gazersky swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Steven Shewmaker will probably get the nod.

Gazersky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shewmaker manages to avoid it.

Shewmaker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gazersky throws out the jab.
Shewmaker pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gazersky back to the cage. Shewmaker follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Marlon Gazersky has been cut.
Gazersky throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shewmaker seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Gazersky swings for the body but Shewmaker moves out of range.
Shewmaker wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
No joy there for Shewmaker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gazersky just misses with a punch to the body.
Gazersky lands with a nice body punch.
Gazersky slips a straight right by Shewmaker.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gazersky enables Shewmaker to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gazersky manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Gazersky manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shewmaker manages to get himself to full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
