The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira tries to close the distance and clinch but Davis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Oliveira looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gervonta Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oliveira shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Davis sprawls well. Davis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Oliveira gets slowly back to his feet.

Davis throws out a loose jab but Oliveira uses good head movement to avoid it.

Davis scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Davis misses with an uppercut. Oliveira saw that one coming.
Oliveira tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
