The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Lauzier finds it's way through Volcanica's defenses.

Both fighters circling a little - Volcanica finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Lauzier lands a big uppercut and Volcanica crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Volcanica looks OK. Lauzier waves Volcanica back to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lauzier throws a hook to the side of Volcanica's head but Volcanica sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've been told by Lauzier's head coaches at MMA Training and Sparring Buddies that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Gabriel Lauzier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
