Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Javier Santos (ranked 5659 p4p, 4527 weight class) and Diago Nunez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nunez fails to land with a series of punches.

Nunez darts in and clinches Santos up against the cage.

Nunez is trying to trip Santos. He has hold of a leg but Santos is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Nunez persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Nunez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santos is on top in guard.

Nunez pulls Santos in close to his closed guard and prevents Santos from doing any damage or advancing position.

Nunez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nunez lands a nice short elbow.
Nunez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Santos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Well, if Nunez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Santos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Santos is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Nunez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Nunez's back!
Santos wants to control the position but Nunez frees himself and scrambles - Santos manages to regain control in side control.
