The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young lands a right hook to the body.
Jerry Young seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pierre misses with a takedown

and Young counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Pierre tries to strike from the bottom.

Pierre working for a triangle but Young defends it easily.
Young wants to control from the top but Pierre keeps moving.
Young postures up in Pierre's guard and throws a big left but Pierre blocks it.

That was a close round but I would say that Saint Pierre will probably get the nod.
