The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Miro pinned against the cage. Miro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miro tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miro to the ground. Miro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miro as he avoids it easily.
Miro throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.

Miro lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Silva backs up against the cage.
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Miro is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Miro circles away and we're back to standing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Miro digs a good hook to Silva's body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Miro.
Silva tries to move into range but Miro moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Miro scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Miro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Miro.
Miro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Silva closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Miro manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has Miro in his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
