Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derek Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dick has chosen New Divide as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dick throws a right hand that Hill ducks under and follows up with a left that Hill also avoids with ease.
Hill will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hill throws a combination that misses
and Dick counters with a right hand to the body.

Hill moves into the clinch successfully.

Dick breaks the clinch.
Dick rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hill moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Dick counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hill!
Hill is looking to improve his position but Dick isn't that keen on the idea.

It looks like Derek Hill has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hill bucks up and throws Dick to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

and Dick counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hill won't be happy with that.

Dick decides to stand back up.
Hill looks to land a combination but Dick avoids it well.

so Dick counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Dick decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hill, up you get!
Dick scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hill doesn't seem bothered though.

Dick darts in and clinches Hill up against the cage.

Dick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dick misses with a body kick.

Dick moves into the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Dick.

Dick breaks the clinch.
Hill lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hill.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dick tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hill swivels and escapes.

Dick changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hill looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dick has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Dick counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hill's guard now.

Hill is looking for a triangle but Dick pushes his legs off easily.
Hill throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Dick is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Dick wants to pass the guard but Hill is keeping the position.
Hill manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Dick regains half guard.
Dick flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Hill decides to stand up.

Dick looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Dick takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Hill pushes Dick off and gets back to his feet.
Dick tries to clinch but Hill moves out of range.
Hill throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dick shoots and misses
and Dick takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hill walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Dick checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Hill throws a right hand that Dick ducks under and follows up with a left that Dick also avoids with ease.

Dick drives through and clinches with Hill against the cage.
Hill keeps control of Dick as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Dick is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hill gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Derek Hill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Harry Dick.

Hill gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Dick throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Hill keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dick's head.

Dick uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Dick misses with the combination.
Hill swinging wilding here.
Hill pivots, looking for a leg kick but Dick is out of range and Hill settles back down.

Dick fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hill, pushing him back against the cage.
Dick wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dick tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Hill is pressed up against the cage. Dick has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hill down to the mat. Hill avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Dick misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dick looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hill!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dick is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hill can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Hill is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Dick breaks from Hill's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Dick lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hill can't escape the position.

Dick lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Harry Dick is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee asks Dick politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Dick prefers to stall for the moment though.
