Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dontae Gutierrez (ranked 3439 p4p, 1260 weight class) and Isopaa Mfer (ranked 130 p4p, 38 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Mfer felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Mfer has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gutierrez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mfer.

I was talking to Gutierrez's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
